The purpose of this page is to link you to some progress test questions that you may have seen on your original course.
These questions are not difficult and you should be able to find the answers in the FOURTH edition of FIRST AID EXPLAINED.
1. The main areas that may have changed since your last course will be:
· Resuscitation - See resuscitation guidelines · Recovery position - Turn your casualty every 30 minutes if the ambulance is delayed (page 24). · Asthma - Send for an ambulance if medication does not work after five minutes (page 38). · Crush injury - Now 15 minutes before deciding NOT to release (page 109) · Burns - When to enlist help – in all but very minor cases (page 120). · Fractured skull - Rec. position only if airway compromised, otherwise hold in position found (page 147) · Fractured spine - Rec. position only if airway compromised, otherwise hold in position found (page 151) · Control of bleeding - Various thoughts and disagreements over this – speak to your instructor or email me for more information
2. Remember whilst books and quizzes are good they are not a substitute for taking a refresher course! If you need any assistance just email our help line at help@alanjohn.co.uk
Please note that because of the amount of enquiries, we are unable to take telephone calls relating to the revision section. We WILL however answer your email enquiry.
QUIZ TWO RYA FIRST AID QUIZ - If you work and play on the water this may be of interest. |

Welcome to the REVISION and QUIZ section – especially for people re-qualifying their First Aid at Work certificate. |
