FIRST AID AT WORK   A four-day course, not necessarily consecutive, with an assessment. This is the H.S.E. requirement for a first aider in the workplace under the 1981 (First Aid) Regulations. Prices from £91.00 person.

RE-QUALIFICATION F.A.W.  A two-day course to re-qualify the above after three years. Prices from £50.00 per person

APPOINTED PERSON  If your company does not need a first aider, you will still need to 'appoint' a person to take charge in the event of an emergency. The law requires you to keep an accident book and a first aid kit. This course gives basic first aid training for emergencies and reporting procedures together with using a first aid kit. The course can be either 3 or 4 hours or one day depending on your requirements. Prices from £20.00 per person.

SMALL CRAFT INSTRUCTORS FIRST-AID CERTIFICATE   A one day course for anybody who sails, windsurfs or uses a power boat. The course is similar to the appointed person but covers drowning and hypothermia in far more depth together with what to do when being rescued from sea. This certificate satisfies the R.Y.A. requirements for instructors in windsurfing, sailing and power-boating. It is a continuous assessment course with a three year validation. DEFIBRILLATOR COURSE  A half-day course for qualified first aiders.

MANUAL HANDLING - Under the Manual Handling Regulations, 1992 each employer has a duty to assess the risks to staff who lift and carry at work. This half-day course, lasting up to three hours depending on the numbers and tasks involved, satisfies the employers legal obligation under the Regulations if their 'risk assessment' points to a need for training. Prices from £18.00 per person.

We can structure the course and include subjects that YOU feel necessary as well as ones that we may suggest.

The four day FIRST AID AT WORK course has a set syllabus (H.S.E. Regulations) but we can give extra emphasis on certain subjects where you require. We can also 'segment' courses so that you can have, for example, a four day course over eight half days. We can arrange in-house training on weekdays, weekends or evenings to suit you. We will even train in the night (night-shift) should you wish. Please let us know how we can help you.

Prices include a first aid mini-kit for each delegate, certificate presented on the day to save you the administration (copy sent to you), a first aid book and a badge.
